Next Steps - To Do List
Allen suggested that St. St. Mary's respond to Executive Council's request for input on the Draft Anglican Covenant. (Executive Council is the governing body of the Episcopal Church between General Conventions.)
Allen: If anyone is interested, I'll be glad to provide information both on the Executive Committee's requst and on the Draft Anglican Covenant.
There is some time pressure -- Executive Council has asked for responses by early June.
I see this topic as falling under "Learning and Groups," although our response will be informed by our entire vision.
I am working on a response of my own and I will share it with as many as I can to see if we can make it a corporate rather than an individual response.
Question - what is the best way to proceed with this?
Liz - Better communication
Get and mount a bulletin board (and make it pretty, thanks, Lysander). Should have a calendar to chart all the activities and meetings at the church – keep it up to date – enlist help of Gwen
Bulletin board to go on wall as you enter the hallway with Rectory on left and pastor's study and parish hall down to the right. Coincidentally a Staples catalog came in the mail yesterday! You can get a 4' x 6' bulletin board for $219.00 and a 3' x 5' for $109.99 and one that is 3' x 4' for $77.99. I think 3' x 5' is what we need. But we should look at the space together tomorrow and decide. If someone wants to take more time to try to find same at a cheaper rate, that's okay. Maybe there are Church Supply catalogs at church. Whichever, I personally would like to see us move on this! [There is a kind of practical help Allen and I can offer. We are retired and have a car parked outside our building,. Can do schlepping errands as required.]
Liz commited to talking with Miguel about educational,/retreat type group offerings in Advent around St. Mary, first in the communion of saints. . A start-up phone conversation on that would be great, Miguel. I am available both morning and afternoon Monday and Tuesday, and in the afternoon on Wednesday April 2. Just let me know which time you'll aim for, so I can be sure to be at home.

I just added the AI April 15 files under "files" and a new page, but I'm not sure how to hook up the page to the sidebar...
